We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Specialist at our La Vergne, Tennessee location. If you’re ready to join a team that is passionate about enhancing the customer experience, we would like to hear from you!

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively utilize Vermeer programs and resources to strengthen existing customer relationships, while actively prospecting to identify and cultivate new sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the Vermeer equipment line-up and its applications, as well as awareness of competitive products, industry, and business trends.
  • Enhance the customer experience by collaborating cross-functionally with all departments and effectively communicating with the customer throughout their buying journey, with emphasis on their initial contact with Vermeer Heartland.
  • Manage all walk-in sales opportunities.
  • Actively participate in routine training courses as assigned, while continuously seeking out opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Support Market Specialists with initial quoting opportunities.

POSITION SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • High-level of self-motivation and drive, with ability to make decisions based on the good of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand role on a consistent basis.
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to turn negative situations into positive experiences and opportunities.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training/certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications.
  • Ability to move body to assess equipment as needed.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Sales, Vermeer Heartland experience, or equivalent of combined experience.
